Family-owned and built around the day-to-day needs of Prairie producers.
A working seed business with roots that run deeper than a season.
In 1982, Knight Seeds purchased a farm that had already grown pedigree seed for 30 years. From Hamiota, the operation has grown into a certified seed retailer, supplier, grower, producer, wholesaler and exporter.
Today, the team’s work spans seed cleaning, equipment sales, grain buying and producer contracts—connecting producers with domestic and international markets.

Knight Seeds pairs a modern cleaning facility with seed treatment application, mobile colour sorting and traceable handling. The team purchases approximately five yellow pea loads each week for domestic and foreign markets, while helping producers market other commodities.

Knight Seeds co-owns LaurEx Seeds Ltd. in Laurier, Manitoba, where seed is cleaned, bagged, treated when applicable and loaded into containers for shipping.
With experience shipping across Canada and into Asia, South America, Europe and the United States, the operation supplies grain millers and processors across the Prairies and northern U.S.

A modern seed cleaning facility, more than 300,000 bushels of storage, offices, machine storage and work space—supported by a scale measuring over 100 feet.

A Meridian retailer for almost 40 years, Knight Seeds supplies smoothwall hopper bins with leasing options and used bins available on site. Equipment lines also include Convey-All, Farm King, and Meridian augers, conveyors and fuel tanks.
